Went through the remaining entries on the mudlist, and we're down to about 24 abermuds still in existance. Far cry from the mid-90s where there were a number of them around to play.

If anyone remembers "Mustang Mud", which ran a variant of Abermud that evolved quite a bit, first showed up on one of the mudlists of that time in Jan of 1992 and ran for 4 of 5 years, I was ran it and would just like to say hello. Xomox, Valeyard, Jennian, Happidethman, and a host of others, maybe you're still out there somewhere.
Latest news is I've dusted off the old Dell UNIX SVR4 source code for the abermud it was running back then and working on making it fly on Linux 2.6. Lots of changes, especially with ptys since then. :-)

Hi Sap!
You probably don't remember me but I cut my MUD teeth on Mustang MUD back in the day. Recently I have been writing a memoir and I wondered if Mustang is still around anywhere. I'd love to get my mail files from it. I realize there's little chance of this reaching you but, hey, it's worth a shot! I googled your MUD name and ended up here on this forum. So I'm crossing my fingers and hitting sent. HMU at jenie59 (at) hotmail (dot) com.
