Greetings! We at the Abermud Webring
strive to promote a greater ease of players to locate and visit MUD pages and
fan pages by linking them together into a circular ring and increase each site's
traffic. In this ring you shall find links to individual MUDs, player
pages honoring the muds they play, pages featuring utilities or code fragments
you can download, or something else
Linking up to the ring takes only a few
minutes...just enter the information about your website in the form provided,
then cut and paste the resulting chunk of HTML code to your page and you shall
be linked into the ring. To join the ring you should meet the following
conditions:
- Your web pages must be specifically
Abermudding related...whether they are the official site for an Abermud, an
information site, a resource site, a players site, or similar. A site
that wouldn't be allowed would be dedicated toward perhaps a Diku MUD, or an
LPMud. Hybrid MUDs using Aber code are acceptable--such as MusicMUD,
AberMOO, and Aberku.
- Under no circumstances will there be any obscene material
on a site that is in the ring. No pornography, profanity or anything unacceptable to the eyes of children, since a good
portion of the viewers are under the legal age in most states.
- Though it's preferred that the appropriate HTML code be placed on the same page as the URL
you submit, we won't require it...but getting to the page with the HTML should be easy
to find and a click away. Usually, you would put all web rings under a link named as such on the front page.
- There is a 3 week grace period upon signing up before a site will be removed if they do not have the proper html code in place to be submitted to the Ring.
Any site that is found to be a dead link will be moved to the queue until it
returns or it shall be removed entirely after 3 weeks when moved into the queue.
